OUR PATRONAL FEAST   is an opportunity to praise God for St. Teresa and to grow in our appreciation of what a wonderful Saint she is. She was always talking about heaven – certain that her mother who died was in heaven along with her baby brothers ... And that her father would go to heaven and indeed that she would herself.  When she was dying she said, “I am not dying .. I am entering into life.”  She promised to be the means of securing lots of graces for us, like showers of roses. A wonderful grace would be an increasing sense that heaven lies before us and that there is no need to be afraid.

FR. TOM KENNY arrives on Friday and will stay for a week or so.  On Friday I go up to Scotland to officiate at the wedding of Kirstie Griffin.  I shall be travelling with Rhona and Richard Carr because I am unable to catch the train on my own.  After Kirstie’s wedding I shall have a rest for a few days.  Fr. Tom will ensure that you have Mass every day.  Thank you for your continued understanding of my health problems for which I am very grateful.
