NEW LIFE IN THE LORD Over the last three weeks
there has been a recurrent theme in the readings: namely God gives us life.
This has been expressed in satisfying thirst with water, in regaining life by
receiving the gift of sight and light and now today in restoring life to
someone who has died. As we approach Easter, we are reminded that, following
original sin, through baptism the stain of original sin is removed and we are
given a life-line back to God. The way back to God is through Jesus, who is the
resurrection: the way, the truth and the life. Jesus is present in all the
sacraments and gives us His supernatural gift of grace.
PENITENTIAL SERVICE (with individual
confessions) Monday 18th
April – 8pm.
All parishioners are
invited to the church on Monday of Holy Week for a communal service of penance.
Canon Tim Russ and Father Leszek Wisniewski will join
Father John in hearing confessions afterwards. Please make every effort to
attend and make Holy Week holy.

PLEASE HELP to prepare our beautiful
church for Easter. A small group of volunteers will be here at 10.45am on
Wednesday 20th April to do just that, by cleaning and polishing. There
was a great response to the same plea just before Christmas, and it really made
a difference and was appreciated. So please come along to help if you can.
Thank you.
OUR SVP GROUP would like to thank

those they visit.
