OUR HUMAN CONDITION Sometimes it is better not to
know something. When we trust in God, He sustains us and enriches us. When we
are tempted to “be like god’s, knowing good and evil,” as were Adam and Eve, we
find ourselves burdened by more responsibility which wears us down. For all our
knowledge we find ourselves impoverished rather than enriched. This Lent, let
us resist temptation and turn back to God who alone gives us life.
