SERVICE NOT SERVITUDE Jesus tells a parable about a man who entrusts his property to his servants. Similarly in this world we are to make the most of what has been given to us. If nothing else, we are expected to offer our service in the manner of the perfect wife. St Teresa of Lisieux came to love doing little things which previously had annoyed her. In the same way, we can learn to do things for other people and even enjoy doing those chores. By doing that we win the confidence of God and of others. It becomes an act of Love.
NEW ROTAS ARE NOW COMPLETE and ready to collect, they can be found in the box in the Narthex with your name on. Please pick yours up as you leave Mass. If you swap a date please let your rota ‘partner’ know so that they know who they will be with at that Mass, there has been some confusion recently and is easily avoided going forward.
RAFFLE TICKETS for the Christmas Fayre can still be purchased after each Mass, cash and seasonal prizes, just £1 a ticket or a book for £5. Please make sure you return any money owing and the stubs before 25th November.
DONATION BOX FOR THE CHRISTMAS FAYRE is still in the Narthex. Thank you for all the good things donated so far. We are still very short on a few things especially new toys for the Childrens Tombola, for both girls and boys. We also need so much help setting up the Fayre on Friday evening (25th Nov) and help on the day, can you take on a small project or stall ? The Fayre is 12.00 to 2.00pm on Saturday 26th November.
In the Narthex there is a board containing lists of all those that have offered their help but if your name is not on there and you can help please write your name at the bottom of the board.
Can you bake for the cake stall…..anything large or small. Please just bring it along either at around 6pm on Friday 25th or on the day (26th) before 11.30am, thank you.
NEW SUNDAY AND WEEKDAY MISSALS with the new revised Mass, can be ordered. If you would like to order either or both please put your name on the list in the Narthex. The Sunday Missal is £16.99 and the weekday £30.00. Both are available in red or blue.
