WELL DONE ALL THOSE who try to come to Mass during the week.  It must be a real pleasure to set off for church on a really nice Summer’s day.  But you have to consult the newsletter for the time of Mass during the week.  There is stability to our Mass times but just now and again I have to change the weekday time due to having to be elsewhere in the diocese.  For those who have the time, what better thing to do than to come to Mass – to pray for one’s own intentions, the intentions of the parish and those of the wider world.  I often think that the daily Mass is like a spiritual power house: parishioners come for different reasons but everyone of us is touched by Our Lord.  It is consoling and cheering for me to see such a good group at daily Mass.  Dear old Elizabeth Kenny who lived in the Retreat was once asked why she cam to Mass every day, ‘because one Mass before you die is better than a thousand after you die’.  Dear Elizabeth … she was such a help to me in the presbytery.  I was with her when she died to this world.  May she rest in peace.

DON’T FORGET  the Parish party, cricket match, picnic and barbecue on Sunday July 13th. The venue is kindly provided by one of our parishioners. If you are a cricketer and want to play or if you simply want to come and enjoy the day with all the family, please complete one of the yellow forms in the Narthex.

MONEY MONEY   Offertory £792.33, Retiring collection  £21.94. God bless your support for your Church.

Love and prayers,
