ILLNESS AND DEATH have come home to us at St Teresa’s
in recent weeks bringing much sadness and pain. Both illness and death are part of life and as disciples of Jesus they hold no
fear for us – if we cling close to Him. Next
week-end we come to the end of our Liturgical year and celebrate Christ the
King - He is our champion leading us through illness when it comes and through death. How we should pray in earnest asking the Holy
Spirit of Jesus and the Father to help us make our faith the rock on which we
stand. How we need to support each other
when trials come. We do and it is a huge
consolation to me to know that you are supporting and consoling each other in
life’s trials and giving each other a strong example of faith in the Resurrection.
THE BOX IN THE NARTHEX
is for all
contributions to St Teresa’s Christmas Fest.
Please support this very worthwhile
fundraiser. We still need bottles for the SVP bottle game … and bottles,
chocolates, tinned biscuits for the School tombola. The children’s tombola need
new children’s toys, games or books. For the day (29th November) we
will need you to bake, bake and bake some more, cakes, pastries, biscuits,
mince pies and anything else you can think of.
Thank you.
RAFFLE TICKETS will be handed out after each of
the Masses again this weekend. Please
take as many as you can and return the stubs and money in an envelope to us
next weekend or push it through the Presbytery door clearly
marked ‘Fest Raffle’.
CONGRATULATIONS to this month’s winners of the
Church Development Draw. First prize
goes to Maria Cressner and second prize to Sandi Janes, Well done.
