THANK YOU VERY MUCH  to everyone who made our celebration of Holy Week and Easter so memorable, you know that Our Lord is truly Present in a special way for parishioners of St. Theresa’s when they gather as a parish community. Thanks for all the hard work in getting the Church and the Sacristy in good order and for keeping the alter linen so beautifully fresh and serviceable.

Let everyone please feel warmly thanked.

Thank you for the pile of money you gave at the Easter offering, especially to those few who were away, for contributing before they went away, or when they returned.

ST. GEORGE’S DAY  gives us the opportunity of praying for our country and remembering that St. George is celebrated for his successful struggle against evil represented by the dragon. There is a lot of evil about in our day…the awful violence on our streets, of drugs to name but two. It is easy to get downhearted and depressed by so much evil at large. We need to call on the heavenly powers to help us, and St. George can represent these for us in our life of prayer.

CAFOD PROJECT  Tickets are on sale this weekend after each of the Masses for the CAFOD Bingo and Ploughman’s Supper Evening. This will take place on Saturday 9th May at 7.30pm in the Walsingham Hall, It really is fun for all ages. Tickets £8 adults, £4 children (5 to 12 yrs) Under 5’s free.

LIGHTHOUSE QUIZ NIGHT  Saturday 25th April, to start at 8.00pm in the clubroom, £5.00 per person. Bring a friend or come on your own. It would be great if we could make up one or two tables of 8 fom the parish. Have an enjoyable evening and help raise much needed funds for this years Lighthouse Project. Contact Theresa Aldis on 01844 345279.

THE BIBLE STUDY GROUP  With just a few months to go in the year of St. Paul, you can still learn more about his writings, and relevance to both the early Christians and to us in our modern society. Just turn up to parish Bible Study meetings in the clubroom on Thursdays from 7.30 to 9.00pm, which start again on 23rd April. All are welcome.

EVERYCLICK.COM  is a mainstream search engine offering full web search functionality, just like Google, Yahoo and MSN. However with Everyclick, once you have registered and nominated a registered charity of your choice (CAFOD is registered on this site) and whenever you use the site to search the web you can raise money for them. The charity will simply receive the money paid through Charities Trust. If you or your children use the internet a lot do take a look at the site – www.everyclick.com  each time you use the site you will be able to see how much has been raised by users for any registered charity.
