TRUST IN GOD  The Lord called Abram to leave his country and go to a place that he was to show him. Sometimes we are called to leave behind what is familiar and go on a journey. When we start that journey we may not know where it will end. In the Gospel, Peter has just proclaimed that Jesus is “the Christ, the son of the living God.” They are on a journey from Caesarea Philippi to Jerusalem. It appears that only Jesus knows what will happen in Jerusalem. However, the journey does not end there. It continues after his death and the transfiguration on Mount Tabor gives an insight to what will happen after death. When we are called to take up our cross and follow Christ, we may not know what is going to happen in this world but we look forward to the glories to come.

TELEPHONES  We are experiencing difficulties with the Presbytery telephone. On many occasions we are not able to call out and sometimes the calls are not being put through to our phones. If you have difficulty contacting us please try the email address presbytery@st-teresas.org.uk

ST BERNARDS SCHOOL  in High Wycombe proposes to amalgamate with St Augustine’s in September 2011 to provide continuous education from nursery to sixth form. There is a period of consultation on this until 11th April. Comments and questions can be emailed to mcoote@bucksgfl.org.uk

A DATE FOR THE DIARY  This year our parish is planning to observe the Feast of St Teresa, our patron, with a week long celebration called the “Little Way Week” (30th September to 6th October) which will include devotions, speakers, musical events and social events aimed at both our parish family and at a wider Princes Risborough Community. Our intention is to build on the mission priorities which Pope Benedict described during the Papal visit (see the minutes of last pastoral council meeting). The organising committee is forming now and will soon start to plan this wonderful celebration. If you would like to help please contact Jean O’Brien jobrien48@gmx.co.uk 01844 343076 or Margaret Cripps mullincripps@aol.com 07885658208
