NOW IS THE TIME to be thinking of holiday reading.  I know this is a matter of taste but there is one book which every parishioner of St. Teresa’s should know well.  ‘The Story of a Soul’ – St. Teresa’s own account of how Our Lord chose her to be a saint.  I have just started reading it again – it moves me greatly.  She said that she would spend her heaven doing good on earth.  Her wonderful influence is felt by reading the ‘Story of a Soul’.  I know that many parishioners have their own copy – they are easy to obtain from the usual suppliers.  We usually have some in the bookroom.  In this connection, many thanks to the parishioners who keep an eye on the bookroom.  Margaret Dalton has now taken over responsibility of ordering books so many thanks, Margaret, and thanks to those parishioners who have done it so far.  I think the Clubroom is now virtually finished.  More about this, I hope, next week.  But thanks again to all who care so much about our parish and provide discreet helpful service.

TRAIDCRAFT.   Fairtraid goods will be on sale in the clubroom after each Mass next weekend.  Please continue to buy and support Fairtraid.

LIGHTHOUSE are in urgent need of helpers for the car parking during Lighthouse Week.  It isn’t an arduous job – it means standing in the field directing the cars in the morning and again in the afternoon when the children leave.  You do not have to volunteer for every day or every session.  If you feel you can help please contact Barry Palmer on 01844-344705.

FESTOS – a festival for 11-18 year olds on Sunday, 20th July at Thornton College.  The day will be full of activity and fun and will link with the World Youth Day in Australia. If you are interested in knowing more about it please collect an information card from the Narthex or speak to Séan or Celia.

CONGRATULATIONS  to the winners of this month’s Development Fund Draw, 1st prize to Celia Sparkes and 2nd prize to Mrs E. Scott Jackson, well done.

MONEY MONEY   Offertory £853.80, Retiring collection  £31.02 and Cafod £10.00.  Next week’s Retiring collection will be in aid of Peter’s Pence.  God bless your support for your Church.

Love and prayers,
