MID LENT SUNDAY in the days of the Latin liturgy it was known as Laetare…..an opportunity to rejoice
because the privations (!) of Lent are nearly over and because the solemn reinactment
of Our Lord’s Passion, Death and Resurrection are that bit nearer. In our busy
lives let us hear this call to rejoice and seek to understand why the Church
asks us to rise to this occasion.
PARISH MEETING ABOUT
THE DIOCESAN PASTORAL PLAN I hope that you have booked the date:
Saturday 28th March 10.30am to 1.00pm (there will be no Service of
the Word and Holy Communion that day) Bishop Peter wants us to gather and
listen to his pastoral plan. As Catholic Christians we have to respond. I know
that there is a lot going on for all of us …we have to rise to the occasion and
do our best.
ST T’s F.C.
meet again on Sunday 29th March from
4.00pm to 6.00pm. All children in years 4, 5 and 6 are welcome to join us in
the Walsingham Hall for friendship, stories and fun
activities.
‘OUR LITTLE VOICE’ do you remember that Livvy Sklenar told you a couple
of weeks ago about the book she would like you to write ? All you need to do is
write a few paragraphs about what it means to be a Catholic. The book will tell
the outside world about our little faith filled parish. If you have misplaced
the page of information handed out by Livvy and Simon
there are more in the Narthex, please respond
THE NEW SUPPLY OF
PLANNED GIVING ENVELOPES are now ready for you to collect
from the Narthex, each one has a name on it please collect yours as you leave
Mass this week. If you do not have planned giving envelopes but would like to,
please speak to one of the Deacons or phone Polly at the Presbytery.
THE PALM SUNDAY WALK every year young people from St Margaret’s
walk from Twickenham to Marlow carrying a cross, they stop off here at St
Teresa’s on Palm Sunday (5th April) to spend the night before
continuing their walk to Marlow. Do we have any young people within the parish
who would like to walk to Marlow with them on the Monday (6th
April), you will need to be age 14 and upwards. The adults that accompany the
youngsters are CRB checked, and they will be driven back to St Teresa’s on the
Monday evening. Please speak to Celia Sparkes or Polly Sklenar
if you would like to go.
COMPUTERS / BOOKS FOR
SCHOOLS If you have any Tesco ‘computers for Schools’
vouchers or The Times ‘books for Schools’ vouchers, St Teresa’s School would
love to have them and have placed boxes in the Narthex. Thank you.
CAFOD PROJECT MUSIC EVENING was a great success and the Aylesbury
Consort of Voices were just wonderful, £650.00 was raised by you for this years
