THE CHURCH’S LITURGICAL YEAR ends this week-end. We look back at what God has done for us in
our parish over the past year. That is at the heart of Catholic
spirituality….God is always at work in us and we need to observe what He
has done for us. Our daily prayer and our coming to Mass are opportunities for
us to interact with God. We can ask the Holy Spirit to give us the gifts of
wisdom and understanding so that we can observe intelligently how God is at
work in us. Christ the King is an opportunity to ask ourselves if we worship
our King and not some Imitation… of which there are plenty !
OUR LITTLE VOICE the book that so many of you
contributed to and that Livvy put together, has been
printed and will go on sale next weekend at the Christmas Fest. It is just
wonderful! Each book will cost £3.00 and any profit will go to The Little Way
Foundation.
RAFFLE TICKETS could you please return raffle ticket stubs
and payment this week, the draw will take place
at the Christmas Fest next Saturday. Please hand both back to Brian and Val
Stoker or put them in to an envelope and post through the Presbytery door by
Thursday, thank you.
NEXT SATURDAY will be our Christmas Fest. Thank you for all your donations, we
are always quite amazed by your generosity. All we need now are cakes, mince
pies or biscuits, please, please bake for us, we will be in the Hall on Friday
evening from 6.00 to 9.00pm or you could bring them on the morning of the Fest
(Saturday) between 10.00 and 11.00am. And of course we also need you to come on
the day and enjoy it, it’s a lovely family day and once everything is in place
and our job is done it will be down to you to make it the success it always is. Thank you. (Any extra help on the Friday evening or Saturday would
be much appreciated, just come along)
