WITH OUR LIVING FAITH we know that the Risen Saviour Jesus
Christ is living now and with us at every moment of our lives. His Presence is especially intense and life
giving when we are at Mass and when we celebrate the
sacraments of the Church. Lent is about
being set free and understanding true freedom.
May we continue to help each other by prayer and good example to know
that He is in our midst. Holy Week is the most powerful time of grace
each year for Catholics. Make up your
mind now to giving top priority to coming to the major liturgies of Holy Week:
Holy Thursday, the Mass of the Lords Supper in the evening, Good Friday, the
Solemn Celebration of Our Lords Passion and Death in the afternoon and then
the most wonderful of all our liturgies the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday night
when we celebrate the Resurrection and with full hearts renew our Baptismal
Promises.
