OUR PARISH PATRONAL FEAST is kept next weekend.  Please bring what roses you have to each of the Masses.  They will be blessed at the 10 a.m. Mass and taken to St. Teresa’s altar to honour our patron saint.  Once blessed they may be taken by parishioners as a sign of our faith in St. Teresa’s powerful intercession:  “I will spend my heaven doing good on earth!”  After the 10 a.m. Mass next Sunday there will be a celebration in Walsingham Hall or our garden if the weather is fine.  Come and gather around our Patron Saint.  At the end of her life on earth she said, “I am not dying … I am entering into Life.”  That would be a wonderful rose for each of us … that heaven is our true home.

ON THE ACTUAL FEAST DAY, Wednesday 1st October, the 10 a.m. Mass will be attended by St. Teresa’s School … all parishioners are of course welcome.  After the Mass the school is holding a coffee morning in support of McMillan Cancer Care.  Please come and support this worthy cause.

ST.T’sFC.  All children in Years 4, 5 and 6 are invited to meet this Sunday in Walsingham Hall from 4 – 6 p.m. for more fun, faith and friendship.

CHRISTIAN AID.  The season for ‘First Thursday of the Month’ Christian Aid lunches begins on Thursday, 2nd October.  Lunch available from 12.00 noon at the Baptist Church Hall.  New friends will be very welcome.

CJM MUSIC.  A day for music in the liturgy to be given by Jo Boyce and Mike Stanley: CJM Music for the whole parish starting at 10.30 for 11.00 a.m. on Saturday, 8th November finishing with the 6.30 p.m. Mass.  More about this in due course but do please put the date in your diaries now.

A DAY WITH ST. PAUL on Saturday, 24th January led by Sister Helen who is a Sister of Jesus & Mary.  Sr. Helen lived in Damascus and will be able to bring St. Paul’s life alive for us.  Again, book the date now.  This will be part of our celebration of the year of St. Paul.  I hope, too, that some of St. Paul’s letters will come more alive for us due to the homilies on Sundays.

FR. DANIEL O’LEARY will be visiting us on the weekend of 25/26th April.  Again we shall have a day with him on the Saturday and he will preach at the Masses over the weekend.  Daniel is known to quite a few parishioners through retreats at Hawkstone Hall and through his regular articles in the Tablet.

CAFOD FAMILY FAST DAY is Friday, 3rd October and the retiring collection next weekend will be in aid of the Fast Day.   Cafod envelopes are in the narthex.  Please take one home with you now and bring back next weekend.

NEWMAN NIGHT WALK from Oxford to Littlemore to commemorate the anniversary of John Henry Newman’s reception into the Church will be held on Wednesday, 8th October.  Please see notice in the narthex.

MONEY MONEY   Offertory £762.81, Retiring Collection £24.00. Cafod £4.00.  God bless your support for your Church.

Love and prayers
