CHRISTMAS,
THANK YOU Thank you for all your cards and offerings
this Christmas. I was humbled by your kindness and generosity. May you be paid
back many times over 2011.
VISITING
I have started visiting parishioners in
Loosley Row and Lacey Green. If you would like me to call, please let me know.
EPIPHANY The word “Epiphany” comes from the Greek word meaning “to
show”. Today we celebrate God manifesting His Son to the wise men (probably
rulers) from the East. The magi, in Mathew’s Gospel, represent non-jewish nations. Thus the Son of God is manifested to
all human kind.
CHRISTMAS
MASSES In this week’s newsletter you will find
a survey form. The 4.00pm Christmas Eve (children’s Mass) was very well attended
and so will remain. On the form, please indicate your preference for Christmas
Mass time (with the number of your family attending) and return the form to the
box in the Narthex or to the Presbytery. This will help us to arrange suitable
Mass times next year.
RECEPTION Next Saturday at the 6.30pm Mass, Peter Neal will be received
into full Communion with the Catholic Church. Please keep Peter in your prayers.
