CHRISTMAS, THANK YOU   Thank you for all your cards and offerings this Christmas. I was humbled by your kindness and generosity. May you be paid back many times over 2011.

VISITING   I have started visiting parishioners in Loosley Row and Lacey Green. If you would like me to call, please let me know.

EPIPHANY  The word “Epiphany” comes from the Greek word meaning “to show”. Today we celebrate God manifesting His Son to the wise men (probably rulers) from the East. The magi, in Mathew’s Gospel, represent non-jewish nations. Thus the Son of God is manifested to all human kind.

CHRISTMAS MASSES  In this week’s newsletter you will find a survey form. The 4.00pm Christmas Eve (children’s Mass) was very well attended and so will remain. On the form, please indicate your preference for Christmas Mass time (with the number of your family attending) and return the form to the box in the Narthex or to the Presbytery. This will help us to arrange suitable Mass times next year.

RECEPTION  Next Saturday at the 6.30pm Mass, Peter Neal will be received into full Communion with the Catholic Church. Please keep Peter in your prayers.

YOUR EXTRA GIFT AT CHRISTMAS  meant that Saunderton Hostel were able to fill 38 bags full of presents, so  thank you all .

CHRISTIAN AID  The monthly Christian Aid lunch will take place on Thursday 6th January at the Baptist Church Hall from 12 noon to 1.30pm. Three course lunch with tea or coffee just £5.50. All very welcome.

ST T’s FC    meet up again on the 2nd January for the Christmas party. !

S.T.Y.L.E.   meet up again on 7th January for their Christmas party. !

2011 DIARYS   So many of us are waiting for the Church 2011 pocket sized Diary’s and Polly continues to leave telephone messages and emails for the supplier, hopefully they will arrive when the weather and the post has settled down.
