HERE IN WALES The daffodils, our national flower, are being readied in profusion for Mother’s day. God bless all mothers and specially  of course the mothers of St Teresa’s parish who do such a magnificent job in being a source of love in the home, and bringing up their children in the faith, bringing them to Mass and praying with them. I do not forget the fathers, but it is Mothers day this weekend. I hope that the mothers will be specially appreciated at this time and that their hearts with pleasure will fill, as they will if they think of Wordsworth’s poem, and I hope they are given lots of daffodils to show how much they are loved. My heart with pleasure fills, not just because of the daffodils, which are my favourite flower, but because Spring is on the way and Easter is not far off. The Fourth Sunday of Lent is known as Laetare Sunday … we rejoice because Easter is near. Also the weather is kind here in Wales, lovely sunny, if chilly, walks by the sea. Hooray!

THE STAINED GLASS WINDOWS BOOKLET has been an inspiration to me. I spent a couple of hours or so one morning going through it again slowly. The photos of the windows and the biblical texts can be prayed over – try it with your booklet. Apart from the sick who can’t get to church I think those who have “dropped out”, the “the lapsed”, could be helped by having a booklet. Think of anyone you know and ask for a booklet for him/her.

CATHOLIC WOMEN’S LEAGUE. Bishop Peter Doyle will be celebrating Mass for the Catholic Womens’s League at St Teresa’s Church on Saturday 8th March  at 12.00 noon. All parishioners are very welcome to attend.

DEVELOPMENT FUND. There are still a few unpaid subscriptions.  Please would you just check and if you are one of the few just put it in an envelope with the form and leave at the Presbytery.

FAIRTRADE.  By making the decision to Change today and choose Fairtrade, we strengthen the bond between ourselves and the producers of these goods.  Information about what Fairtrade is all about and how you can help is inside the Newsletter. Over the next two weekends Fairtraid products will be sold in the clubroom after each Mass and also there will raffle tickets on sale for two Fairtrade hampers - £1 a ticket.  All proceeds will go to this years project, “The child soldier”

STYLE will meet this Friday 7.00pm in the Walsingham hall.  “There’s no business like show business” - plan the STYLE concert for CAFOD, you could be a star or a backstage hand.

PRO LIFE WITNESS AND PRAYER Will be gathering this coming Wednesday, 5th March between 12.00 noon and 1.00pm at entrance 4 of Stoke Mandeville hospital. You are very welcome to join us.

WOMEN’S WORLD DAY OF PRAYER.  A service will be held at St. Mary’s Church on Friday, 7th March at 2 p.m.  All are welcome to attend.
