THE GREAT KING God is our teacher (Rabbi), our Master and our Father. All earthly teachers, masters and fathers must recognise that they act in their roles simply to point the way to God the Great King. Both the prophet Malachi and Jesus are faced with the situation where teachers, masters and fathers are acting for their own grandisement rather than for the honour and glory of God, the Great King. It is said that knowledge is power but knowledge of God’s teaching is not sufficient; we have to live out God’s law in our lives together. St Augustine said to his people that he was a Christian with them but a Bishop for them. The central person who facilitates our relationships is Christ.
ALL SAINTS Tuesday is the Feast of All Saints and is a Holy Day of Obligation. Masses at St Teresa’s are at 9 am and 8 pm. All Catholics are expected to attend Mass on this day of special devotion.
