THE EPIPHANY and THE CELEBRATION OF
MARY, MOTHER OF GOD are closely connected (to use one of Bishop
Peters words). In the Childhood of
Jesus we see Him with His Mother and Christian art shows her either adoring Him
in the manger or holding Him up so that we can see. The wise men from the East found Him and
worshipped Him and He was with His mother.
There could be no Epiphany without Mary we honour her and thank God
for the part He gave her in letting us see and worship Jesus.
