THE BIBLE STUDY GROUP
has been meeting for several years and those who attend profit greatly. God
makes Himself known to us through the Scriptures and somebody once said that
ignorance of the Scriptures equals ignorance of God. I wonder who said that?
Roger Beavil will be speaking to us
this week-end about the Bible Group. Attendance has dropped over the years and
Roger will try to inspire a greater attendance for the meetings which start
again very soon after the holiday break.

NORES (Northampton Office for Religious
Education) is running a course in the major areas of Catholic theology which
includes modules such as catechetics and religious
education, social teaching and pastoral ministry. This course is an excellent
way of supporting people who are taking an active interest in parish life and
is certainly in line with the changes being introduced by Bishop Peters
vision. Please consider this important invitation. The parish can provide
financial support for anyone wishing to attend. Further information is on the
notice board in the Narthex and do ask me if you wish to discuss the idea
further. The course is run on a Saturday from 10.00am to 3.30pm and will be
