RECOGNISING CHRIST St Peter, at Pentecost, tells his listeners that they have failed to recognise Christ. Peter bears witness to
Jesus’ resurrection. Similarly, even Jesus’ disciples on the road to Emmaus
fail to recognise Jesus until He breaks bread with them. We too recognise Jesus
in the “Breaking of Bread,” but do we recognise Him when we meet Him in the street ?
CENSUS We last seem to have had a parish census over seven
years ago and since that time our records have been updated in an ad hoc way,
new people have arrived and others have departed. In order to fill some of the
gaps in our records we are having a fresh census this weekend during Mass.
Anyone away this week will be encouraged to fill in a form over the next two
weeks. Please be so kind as to complete one card for each household.
EASTER BREAK I shall be going away on my Easter break on Tuesday for
one week. Please welcome Father Tom Kenny who will be taking care of you in my
absence.

ROTAS
Firstly many thanks to all the people who are
already on one or more of the current rotas. Our Parish would be lacking so much without all the
willing volunteers that we have. It is now time to collate the new rotas and we
are always looking for new people. Please consider whether
you can help, we need church cleaners, coffee makers (after 10am Sunday Mass)
readers, welcomers, offertory procession (10am Mass.)
Perhaps there are family groups who could become welcomers
or take part in the offertory procession – children love to help and be
involved. All ages, young and not so young are valued and have a part to play.
If you can help ? please
speak to John or Sue
