PRO-LIFE MONTHLY PRAYER MEETING

Outside entrance 4 of Stoke Mandeville Hospital on the first Wednesday of each month from 12 noon to 1.00pm.

Group Mission Statement
An anti-abortion and anti-euthanasia Group, whose overall aim is to work to replace the culture of death, with a culture of life, by helping to outlaw abortion and euthanasia from our society.

About the Group
St Teresa's Parish Right to Life Group is an anti-abortion and anti-euthanasia Group, whose main activities are prayer and lobbying parliament through letter-writing.

The Right to Life Central Organisation is a Campaign Group aimed at changing anti-life laws. It is not a membership-based organisation, but is funded by donations, e.g. the sponsored walk across Morecombe Bay in 2003.

Clare Shaw acts as Parish contact for St Teresa's Parish, in a network of nationwide Right to Life Parish contacts. Clare relays up-to-date information from Right to Life via the 'Right to Life News' to members of the Group, who are thereby informed of the current relevant issues in Parliament so that the Group can accordingly pray, write letters, sign petitions etc, if they so wish.

At each monthly meeting the Rosary is prayed for the Pro-Life cause, and other prayers are said.

The Right to Life Group meet on a monthly basis, the time and date of which changes and once decided can be found on this page of the website, so please check back.

Since the Group was set up in December 2002, the Group has done a sponsored walk across Morecombe Bay, held two special Pro-Life Prayer Vigils and a talk by a Pro-Life MEP Candidate. The Group continues to take action on the up-to-date information it receives in regular issues of the 'Right to Life News' and intends to invite other Pro-Life speakers to the Parish in due course.

If you are interested in joining please speak to Father Gerald.
