HE IS RISEN FROM THE DEAD Reserrexit
sicut dixit …….
In some parts of the Christian world, this is still the way that believers greet each other. He is Risen
from the Dead – these words pass from mouth to mouth and they are joyous words in the measure that we have sought
to be with Jesus in his Passion and Death. Even if we just say Happy Easter we
can feel Our Lord’s joy at being raised from the dead – but try to say ‘He is
Risen’ – three words which encapsulate our faith, our hope and our
love for the Lord and each other.
The Church keeps the week after Easter as a special octave
of Masses and prayers. If you are able to, especially if you are on holiday,
try to come to an extra Mass during Easter week. He is Risen Alleluia
!
