LENT  is a good time to savour the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Our Lord went into the desert led by the Holy Spirit and as a true man He needed to feel the presence of God in His human soul. In His battle with the devil He needed to be brave, to feel the gift of courage. The same gift of courage is available to us as a gift from God. We need to ask again and again for the gifts of the Holy Spirit especially in Lent for the gift of courage: to stand by Our Lord in His struggle and to be with Him especially during Holy Week. If we follow Him faithfully and bravely in the liturgy of Holy Week we shall feel His victory at the Easter Vigil and on Easter Sunday. Remember, our living the Church’s liturgy ‘is an unfailing’ way of being close to Our Lord.

FATHER DANIEL O’LEARY  will be visiting the parish on 18th/19th April. Father Daniel is a renowned preacher – people travel from all over the country to hear him – and here he will be at St. Teresa’s. On Saturday 18th April he will be talking on “Travelling Light” the title of one of his books. There is a list in the Narthex for you to inscribe your name if you would like to attend – so that there will be enough food for a light lunch. Do yourselves a favour….make a space for Father Daniel, he is well worth it..Arrive 10.30am for 11.00am start, to finish at 4.00pm.

FAIRTRADE RAFFLE WINNERS Congratulations to the winners of the Traidcraft  hampers, 1st prize to Mary Cunningham and 2nd prize to Margaret Stokes, well done and thank you to all who entered the draw.
