HAVING MADE A GOOD START to Lent keep up the effort. The Holy Spirit will lead us if we let God
into our lives. Thats one of the ways of proclaiming the
mystery of faith to think and act so that we and
everyone who meets us know that God possesses our body and soul. Keep ondering and
praying and try to come to Mass during the week.
I SHALL BE AWAY over the next couple of weeks and I must say that I am ready for a
little rest. I shall though say Mass
every day and I am pleased that my good friend, Father Tom Kenny, is coming to
say Mass for you each day. Fr. Tom is
retired now but gladly agreed to come and minister to you whilst I am
away. I am sure that you will support
him with your prayers and a kind welcome.
STAINED GLASS WINDOWS.
I am glad to be able to tell you that two parishioners have covered the cost
of printing the booklets. Such
generosity does not surprise me and I want to say thank you on behalf of us
all. The booklets will be ready shortly
and will be handed out one per household.
If anyone would like more than one could they please have a word with me. The number
available is not limitless but there will be some spares. I am sure you will be very pleased by the
booklet and it will specially give pleasure to those parishioners who are
unable to get to our church.
CAFOD LENT FAST DAY Thank you to those who fasted on Friday for the CAFOD Lent Fast Day. If you have forgotten your envelope you
can pick up another from the
Narthex. Envelopes can be placed in the
collection basket as you leave Mass. Thank you for your contribution.
FAIRTRADE FORTNIGHT runs from 25th February until 9th March so TRAIDCRAFT goods will be on sale after
each of the weekend Masses on 1st/2nd March and 8th/9th
March.
