THE MOST HOLY TRINITY, i.e. God Himself, One Nature, Three Persons and we are made in the image and likeness of God.  This means that we can catch glimpses of God in our human life, indeed in all creation, but to do this we have to be prayerful, contemplative.  Those of us who experience human love through marriage or deep friendship can sense the presence of God in our selves and each other.  It is not an intellectual exercise but a simple deep acceptance of God’s presence. That is what we call spirituality. People who love each other reverentially, respectfully, unpossessively know about the Trinity.

NEXT SUNDAY, THE SOLEMNITY OF CORPUS CHRIST, the children make their First Holy Communion.  There will be an extra Mass for this at 1.00 p.m. and afterwards there will be a Reception for everyone in the presbytery garden – weather permitting!  Please keep the children and their families in your prayers – the Blessed Sacrament is the great mystery of our Catholic Faith.  God is truly present in all the sacraments.  The Blessed Sacrament is special: ‘O Thou memorial of the Lord’s own dying, O Bread that living art and vivifying’, as St. Thomas prayed in his wonderful hymn ‘O Godhead hid’ which is, in my view, the best thing to read on the Eucharist … read and contemplate.  I try and say it everyday, after receiving Holy Communion.

CLUBROOM As you may have seen we now have a new door into the clubroom, (and of course a new lock). If you are an existing key holder and require a new key please see Barbara or Polly at the presbytery.

PARISH ROOM.  Due to the renovation works that have taken place in the Clubroom, all the items in the parish room need a good clean. If anyone would be willing and able to help by taking a few things home and cleaning them, please come to the Walsingham Hall after Mass and collect any of the boxes or items that are set out: sign your name indicating which box or item you have taken and return by the following weekend. It would be a great help, thank you.

ST.T’Sfc  Meet next weekend in the Walsingham Hall from 4 - 6p.m. All children in year’s 4 – 6 are welcome.
