THE HOLY SEASON OF LENT  begins on Wednesday with Mass at 9.00am. and 8.00pm. Ashes will be blessed and distributed at both. The 9.00am Mass will be attended by the children of St Teresa’s School. Come to Mass and get your Ashes and so make a good beginning to Lent.

 

FAIRTRADE FORTNIGHT  begins on Monday 23rd February, and for this week-end and next, the CAFOD group will be selling raffle tickets in the Narthex, for a chance to win one of two Fairtrade food hampers. The proceeds of the Raffle will go to this year’s project, Children of the Congo. The price of a raffle ticket is £1.00 and will be drawn in two weeks’ time.

 

FAIRTRADE GOODS  will be on sale in the clubroom after each of the Masses next week-end 28th Feb/1st March and again the following week-end 7th/8th March. Please feel free to come and see the range of goods. Leaflets on Fairtrade can be found in the Narthex.

 

LENTEN BOOKS  for all the family are now available in the book room, please come and take a look.

 

CAFOD PROJECT MUSIC EVENT  Over the next couple of weeks the Cafod group will be selling tickets after each of the Masses for an evening of Sacred and Secular music by the Aylesbury Consort of Voices. To be held on Saturday 14th March at 7.45pm in the church. Tickets will be £8.00 per adult and £4.00 for age 12 and under. Refreshments will be served during the interval in the hall. Please come and enjoy the evening, all proceeds to the 2009 Cafod project, Children of the Congo.
