THE R.C.I.A. GROUP have planned a series of talks /
discussions to help us all live as Easter People. The
Risen Christ is with us through the power of His Holy Spirit. Remember his
words…..” I shall be with you always” at the end of St Mathew’s
Gospel. Easter people keep Our Lord’s words in their minds and hearts. Just think how our
lives could be changed if we thought of and prayed “ I shall be with you always”
every morning when we wake up. We would feel his strength helping us to live in
the hope that we shall see him face to face when our life on earth comes to an
end. During our life on earth our hearts would burn within us, as they did for
the disciples on the way to Emmaus (St Lukes Gospel –
Ch 24) The first R.C.I.A. meeting, open to all Parishioners takes place this
coming Tuesday at 7.30pm in the Walsingham hall – the
meeting will end by 9.30pm.
I SHALL BE WITH YOU
ALWAYS would help
us to re double our commitment to our life of faith at St Teresa’s Parish. The
parish needs a respectable show of your talents and resources. Richard and
Rhona are always on the look out for parishioners who want to read at Mass, be welcomers or eucharistic
ministers, and these duties are all equal opportunity !
The best way to support the parish financially is through
our Planned Giving (weekly envelopes and through the bank) and Gift Aid for
income tax payers. Bishop Peter in his Pastoral Letter asked us to consider if
we were doing our best. There is more to being a Catholic than coming to Mass –
we are disciples of Jesus and we must try to give as he did, giving His all. It
takes a lifetime for us to appreciate fully what being a disciple means. The
snag is that we don’t know when our life on earth will come to an end. So there
is no time to lose!
CLUBROOM. You may have noticed
that work is being done to the clubroom.
A new floor is being put down and so the room is out of action this
weekend. Coffees/teas after the 10.00 a.m.
Mass has been cancelled . The sale of Traidcraft goods will be held in the hall.
