WE CELEBRATE OUR PATRONAL FEAST this week- end with as usual the blessing of Roses at the 10.00am
Mass followed by drinks in the Walsingham Hall. A
senior moment last week- end meant that both the blessing and the roses and the
drinks were not announced….but I hope that they are sufficiently engraved in
our parish life to be expected. I hope lots of roses will be brought for the Blessing
which is our expression of faith in St Teresa of the Child Jesus and of the
Holy Face who said that she would spend her heaven doing good
on earth and that she would pray that Blessings “like showers of roses” would
fall on us. On Thursday in the Carmelite church in Gerrards
Cross the Relics of St Teresa will be solemnly venerated. Deacon Sean has the
travel arrangements in hand so if you have asked for transport then you can
expect to hear from Sean.
ST TERESA’S CAFOD PROJECT For those of you who
were able to be there, the Harvest lunch last Sunday was lovely and well done
everyone because with ticket sales, donations and the raffle it has raised a
further £530.00 toward our end of year target of £5000.00. To date £3851.23 has
been raised, we have only one more event before the end of the year so we might
fall a little short of our goal. 14th of November is the next date
for your diary, that is when we are lucky enough to have the band Pickled Tink play and call at our Barn Dance. If you have not been
to CAFOD Project event before this is a great one to attend, really good fun
for all ages, and of course all proceeds this year go to the rehabilitation of
child soldiers in the
