THE RETIREMENT LUNCH   you gave was a triumph – for all the love and support you have given me for so long. I felt enormously proud of you – it was a wonderful occasion – thank you. Lots of parishioners played a part and I am deeply grateful to you all. The food was terrific and so was the drink! Thank you too for the great pile of money which will ease my path in retirement; finally thank you the organising group whose identity is still a mystery to me – it was a SURPRISE PARTY and gave me a very lovely memory – to be kept alive by Alan’s video.

THE 9.00am MASS ON THURSDAY  is a school Mass and an opportunity for the children and staff at St Teresa’s school to say goodbye to Father Gerald, it is sure to be a memorable occasion. All parishioners please feel free to join them for this Mass and to then come over to the clubroom for tea and coffee.

The girls and boys will be expressing their appreciation for Father Gerald’s Ministry at the school. The school motto is Fidelity – to sound values and the promotion of our Catholic Faith. Though there are many non Catholic pupils in the school they attend the same religious classes as do the Catholics. The school is an important presence in our town and gives a witness to the sacrifices the parents make to send their children to the school, to the students and to the teaching staff. A lot of good is done: thank God.

EUCHARIST MINISTERS  We will resume our Eucharist Ministry from the First Sunday in Lent. Please check the Rotas from next week.

OUR NEW PLANNED GIVING ENVELOPES  are now ready for collection. Please look for the one with your name, you will find a box in the Narthex. Thank you.

THE CAFOD PROJECT MEETING  will be this Tuesday (9th Feb) in the Clubroom at 7.30pm. New members are very welcome.

THE LITURGY GROUP  will meet at 7.00pm in the clubroom on Monday evening (8th Feb)

PLEASE REMEMBER  to check for any post in the pigeon holes in the Narthex, it seems to be building up in some of them. Thank you.

DISHES FROM LAST SUNDAY’S PARTY   are here for collection, in the clubroom, if you have not collected yours yet the clubroom will be open after each Mass this week end.

MONEY. Offertory £833.35. Retiring Collection £38.00. CAFOD £14.00. God Bless your support and generosity for your Church.
