GAUDETE SUNDAY “Gaudete”
means “Rejoice” The liturgy today is marked by joy in anticipation of the Lord’s coming. We are invited to put
our future and that of the world into God’s eternal hands. Nothing will really
fail us if we put our trust in God. So let us joyfully leave the future with
the Father and live each day He has given us as a gift. Unencumbered by worries
of the future we can live our lives in God and in service of one another as we
prepare for His Kingdom.
CHRISTMAS SERVICES This is my first Christmas at St Teresa’s and to some extent
am still finding my way. I am not convinced that we have the most desirable
times and styles and would welcome any comment. Hopefully, with sufficient
notice we can plan to implement the times decided by the Parish Pastoral
Council for 2011, if that is what most people want. Your views would be most
welcome in order to formulate options which could then be put to the parish.

CHRISTMAS FOR SAUNDERTON LODGE please don’t forget
to collect a Gift Label by the paper
tree in the Narthex and buy one extra gift this Christmas. Please don’t wrap
the gift, just leave it in the bag and fix the gift label to it. Thank you all.
JUST A THOUGHT Our SVP Group visit several lonely older
people all year round and at Christmas they try to put a little something together
for them in the form of a small Christmas gift. This year, this weekend, there
will be a large parish Christmas card on an easel in the Narthex and if you would like to, rather than give
each of your parish friends a card this year you could write your seasonal
greeting to all of them on the large card and put a donation in the SVP box.
The SVP box is on the left hand back wall as you leave the church.
