THE BUILDING AND FINANCE COMMITTEE WRITE
Although Accounts have been produced for the Parish for the year ended 31st March 2011 a fairly major portion of our income has not been included due to Rent Reviews being undertaken and not being concluded until September 2011. This has meant that £16,000 which should have been included in that year will now appear in this current year.
An overview of figures is given below.
Offertory income is down by £4,000 and all other income is down by £18,700, mainly because of the £16,000 rent not being included.
Total expenditure has reduced by £2,323 even after a one off payment of £14,000 by way of a grant towards the Chaplaincy at St Teresa’s School. The balance of our overdrawn account with the Diocese has reduced from £99,480 last year to £77,412 at 31st March 2011. If the Rent Review had been concluded earlier the deficit would have reduced to £61,412.
It would appear that this trend is continuing in this current year but as always the expenditure on our Buildings will largely determine this.
Special Collection/Appeals for the period March 2010 to April 2011 increased from £11,299 to £17,925 and consisted of the following major amounts:- Cafod Project £5,835; Cafod Fast Days £1,012; CAFOD from the Christmas Fayre £1,500; Pakistan Emergency Appeal £2,082; Salesian Appeal £696; Papal Visit £923; Confirmation Group Projects £424; and Building Fund £2,751.
Thank you all for your continued generosity to your Parish and the Charities we support.
