PALM SUNDAY  Today marks Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem and the start of a solemn week in the life of the church. Jesus came into Jerusalem to die. His hour had come. Jesus draws attention to himself by the manner of his arrival: a mock royal pageant. The events we commemorate this week are central to our faith. Please try to come along and be part of it, especially the Paschal Triduum, which is one service held over three days starting with the Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 8pm on Thursday.

CHRISM MASS AT THE CATHEDRAL  11am, 21st April. Bishop Peter would like as many people as possible to attend this mass where he blesses the oils which will be used in celebration of the Sacraments this coming year and the priests and deacons will renew their promises.

YOUR PRAYERS ARE REQUESTED  for Michael Murphy who has been diagnosed with multiple cancers. Your prayers are also needed for a family which has arrived in haste from a serious domestic situation. If anyone can help them with food, clothing, tokens or cash, Anne Bowe will be very pleased to hear from you, thank you.

Please pray also for ‘JeannyBambrick and ‘Chrissie’ Hanafin, who have recently died and for their grieving families.

CLEANING THE CHURCH FOR EASTER CHANGE OF DAY & TIME  Please note….for all volunteers, you are now needed on Thursday of this week (Holy Thursday) at 10.00am (not Weds at 10.45am)please come and  help to dust and polish our church ready for Easter, thank you.

THIS WEEKEND AFTER MASS  members of the CAFOD Project group will be in the Narthex asking parishioners to sign up for the sponsored walk taking place on Sunday May 15th. There are 2 walks with leaders. Both walks with start at 2.00am from Whiteleaf Cross, neither of the walks  (5km & 10km) are too long so are ideal for family groups.
