SEASONS GREETINGS
Once
again Christmas has come to us with all its blessings and joys. Thank you, all of you who have worked so
hard in preparing the church and the liturgy for this great celebration. At
this time of the year our thoughts turn to our families ;
those who live with us and others who are far away. We remember especially
those who have no family of their own, those who are homeless and those who are
poor. May we find a place for all of them in our hearts, remembering that Jesus
and His parents themselves were far from home. May the
Holy Family be a model for us all.
AFTER 21 YEARS OF TYPING OUR WEEKDAY MASS SHEETS Margaret Stokes will be standing down after Christmas and handing over to a new
parish volunteer. We would all like to say a huge thank you Margaret for that
valuable contribution to the smooth running of our weekday Masses and Service
of Word and Communion sheets.
Thank you also to the
lovely parishioner who now takes over.
FOR ALL THOSE WHO WORK BEHIND THE SCENES To run a Church in the way that St Teresa’s
is run, can only be achieved by a great many good people working together for
love of God, their Church and their community. Giving up their own time, to
sing, play and arrange the
flower’s. We have our wonderful Sacristan, our Deacons, all of
those who clean the church weekly, those taking an active role on the rota
lists for the various ministries, those who work with and train our altar
servers, or work with the youngsters in the parish, and many, many other things
that just seem to happen,
all of this work and this giving of their own time ensures that
we have a lovely church, beautiful Masses and a true feeling of belonging. Sit for
a moment and look around our Church, we are all truly
blessed. Thank you, thank you …….…….to all of you, for all you do.
I AM TOLD that there was a
great turnout of volunteers on the 21st December to clean and dust the Church ready for Christmas………
Well done to all of you, it was completed in record time. I am also told that
there were one or two new faces on the day and that it was a joy to work
together.
